AutoFate

Compliance with 98/2002/EC has highlighted many problems in the management, control, storage and tracking of blood units for transfusion. Accurately and reliably recording the Fate of Blood Units is one of the most urgent problems needing to be resolved. The benefits of automating this process are clear and the whole cost of operation and system reliability of a manual solution is often not as cheap or as foolproof as it might at first appear.

Olympus has a market leading reputation in the delivery of simple systems to automate and improve the safety of Blood Transfusion, and support compliance with the EU Directive and its counterpart in UK law. New solutions for fating blood units are available now from Olympus; simpler to implement and operate than a paper system and at a comparable cost.
